Has anyone ever felt like part of you is regressing and parts of you are maturing at the same time? I am still on a lull professionally. I (think) I’ve decided to keep Millie Dee Photography for one more year as I’m still transitioning to another business. I have been working on patent pending a product, that I thought I’d be able to announce by now, but the process has been a bit slower; but that’s ok, I’m patient and want to get things done correctly instead of quickly, so in the meantime, I’ll have my photography business to keep my creative juices flowing.

This session was a lot of fun; obviously, its a digital background here, but this mother daughter duo was hysterical. Mom brought this costume, the wig and her t shirt and the baby is due near Halloween, so the newborn photo session should be alot of fun, too. This 2 yr old made this face right on cue, too. My team and I always say we have the best clients..hands down. If you are familiar with the Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus, You’re probably giggling about now.

It’s great to still have the opportunity to get creative while I still wait in limbo. I also have been taking piano lessons for a few years and now have the opportunity to focus a bit more on my lessons and learning the chords, songs, etc. right now I’m learning Werewolves of London for Halloween. I’ve also been driving my youngest around because he’s now sixteen years old, has a permit and also has the life of a sixteen year old, so it’s sports, or social activities, or after school activities, or work or we need to go to the store for motor oil or to McDonald’s drive through…The life of a 16 year old boy if very full and colorful and I’m grateful I get to witness this close up. Once he drives, I will absolutely miss our car rides. Sometimes, we are just quiet, and other times, we talk about anything and everything. I have heard alot of parents talk about how they love the car rides with their kids because of the open dialogue. Hmm…I wonder now what it is about the car that gets people to open up…Maybe because parents are pre occupied with the road, maybe its the music, maybe its getting a chance to decompress, i don’t know….

I’m pretty sure of one thing…These two will have their fair share of talks in the car….and laughs, too. Can you just feel all the joy in this picture? I love it! Well, I have to get going…my son has to get to a gym appointment soon, so I’ve got to go…Just please send good vibes that My top secret project doesn’t stay paused for much longer…I can’t wait to share it with you.
