TO SHOW MY GRATITUDE, I’M OFFERING FREE HEADSHOT FRIDAYS

These are my heart-felt, unscripted thoughts as we head into the last two months of 2025.

The truth is, like so many small business owners, My business has been feeling the weight of the world lately;

the changing economy, rising costs, families need to be more careful with their spending.

It’s certainly been a challenging time for a lot of people.

As someone who provides a luxury service, I’ve felt that shift, too.

Still as I look back on almost two decades of photographing your families, milestones and moments that matter in our lives, I feel nothing but gratitude. Millie Dee Photography has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life. Through my lens, through this little studio and our former studio, I’ve connected with so many incredible people, I am grateful for the clients who became friends, for seeing your babies growing into young adults, and for families that let me step into their lives to capture these special times. As you’ve seen on my site before, I’m moving into a new chapter and with that, I’ll be closing my studio business out during the first half of 2026. It is a bittersweet decision, but it’s the right decision.

Before I close this chapter, I want to do something that feels equally right…Something that reflects the heart of why I start this business in the first place - for connection, gratitude and community.

Introducing: Free Headshot Fridays. Beginning in January 2026. This Month of Giving Thanks feels like the perfect time to announce that I’ll be offering free headshot Fridays throughout January, February and March. These sessions are open to past clients, current clients and members of our Roxbury community who could use a fresh professional headshot, whether for work, LinkedIn, small business branding or simply to mark where you’re at right now in your life. Come visit me!!

There is ZERO cost for this session and a digital image. Instead, I’ll be collecting non-perishable food donations for the Roxbury Township Food Pantry. My hope is that together, we can give back in a way that uplifts others while celebrating the beauty of our community. Photography was and will always be more than images for me, it’s about what’s in my heart, and its about connection…it’s about helping people feel valued and seen. Over the years, we’ve all faced challenges that we needed to navigate through and have come out stronger and now as we face a time of change and uncertainty, I want to reflect that same spirit of generosity and hope. Instead of good bye, I say THANK YOU. Thank you for every smile, every laugh, every late night edit, thank you for your trust, for supporting my dream, my small happy business and most of all, for letting me and my team capture yours.

LOOKING AHEAD: As one chapter ends, another begins and for me that chapter is something entirely different, but just as exciting and fun, (I think so anyway) and I do hope you’ll follow along. It’s a project born from a problem most of us women have and me wanting to make our lives just a little easier on a daily basis. I have a patent pending on a design that will have us all rethinking something as small as our bra pads. (Yes, those annoying pads that crumble or ghost us in the washer and dryer!). This patent pending sustainable solution will have you all keeping those pads in your bras and bikinis and out of the landfills, and helpful us feel more confident and comfortable in our clothes. Although it’s totally different from photography, it’s still holding true to my core values of connection, creativity and caring.
